What This Dataset Is

This project tries to answer a simple question: what games actually appeared on
Computer Bild Spiele
cover discs?

That sounds easier than it is. The raw material is messy. Early issues can sometimes be helped by structured web sources, but later issues depend heavily on disc-local metadata, OCR, manifest paths, and executable names. That means the extraction layer naturally picks up real games alongside a lot of disc junk: installers, codecs, utilities, editors, walkthrough media, menu labels, and OCR damage.

So the public dataset is not a raw dump. It is a reconstruction layer on top of the raw extraction. The goal is not “keep every string.” The goal is “publish the strongest public game list without pretending uncertain rows are certain.”

How The Mind Works, v2

Turns out, Joscha Bach already has a great summary on how the mind works:

“What is consciousness, and how does it relate to reality?-is arguably
among the most interesting open questions in science and philosophy.”

Which is why I’ve updated How The Mind Works ↗
as a simple summary, a simple guide answer a few evergreen questions; still source-grounded in Joscha Bach’s work.

Out of the box Codex + Claude + more, in an end-to-end encrypted chat.

Why: Takopi is explicitly multi-engine and supports both Codex and Claude Code, and takopi-matrix is the Matrix transport plugin with E2EE and multi-room support. In practice, that pairing gives me one encrypted chat surface that can switch engines on demand.

Recent upstream PRs by p0s focused on E2EE setup and reliability (SAS verify-device helper, Megolm key sharing), plus parity features like built-in commands, session continuity, and a more reliable
/reload
path.

Alternatives that do something similar, but not quite the same: Jackpoint ↗

Qualia require control-relevant internal organization: persistent goals, feedback loops, valence, and self-modeling over time. If there’s nobody there, then nobody is looking at itself saying “I am anxious.”

What is consciousness? In
the-mind
I answer these
questions from the perspective of Joscha Bach, using all his public talks and
content as input—synthesized through GPT.

The code turns talks, interviews, and essays into a source-grounded model with explicit
citations + timecodes, aiming for “reproducibility at the level of meaning”:
given the cited sources and the project spec, independent writers (human or
model) should converge on the same core claims and definitions.
